NP01 – 🌳🏗️ BIM Capabilities for Life Cycle Assessment in Structural Projects
Welcome to the first episode of «New Project» podcast, where I share a conversation created with Google Notebook LM AI about my academic paper on sustainable construction practices.
In this inaugural episode, I explore the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for sustainable material selection in structural design. Through an AI-assisted conversation, we discuss the findings from my research paper «Exploring BIM Capabilities for Life Cycle Assessment in Structural Projects: Towards Sustainable Material Choices,» which examines different structural materials in the context of a traditional barraca valenciana case study.
This episode is based on my undergraduate dissertation submitted to the Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) for the BSc (Hons) in BIM (Digital Construction). The paper investigates how integrating modern digital construction tools can lead to more environmentally conscious material choices in building projects.
